The Teddy Bears

The Teddy Bears were an American pop group formed in Los Angeles in 1958, best known for their hit single "To Know Him Is to Love Him". The group was comprised of songwriter Phil Spector, Annette Kleinbard, and Marshall Leib. Their distinctive style blended pop and doo-wop, and was characterized by simple, melodic arrangements and Spector's emerging "Wall of Sound" production technique. The band's short-lived existence was significant as it marked the beginning of Spector's influential career as a producer and pioneer in the music industry.
