The Three Souls were an American jazz trio active in the 1960s. Comprised of bassist George Eskridge, drummer Robert Shy, and organist Sonny Cox, the ensemble was known for its mix of soul jazz and hard bop. Their signature sound was characterized by Cox's Hammond organ playing, a distinctive element in the soul jazz genre. While they did not achieve widespread recognition, their 1968 album "Dangerous Dan Express" is considered a significant work in the soul-jazz canon, reflecting the trio's unique blend of musical influences.
