The Tikis

The Tikis were an American garage rock and pop band active during the mid-1960s. Known for their blend of surf-influenced rock and Beatles-esque pop, they gained regional popularity in California. Notable members included future Harper's Bizarre members Ted Templeman and Dick Scoppettone. Although they did not achieve nationwide success, their single "If I've Been Dreaming" is considered a highlight of the period's garage rock output. Their evolution into Harper's Bizarre in 1967 marked a significant transition towards baroque pop and sunshine pop sounds.
