The Torkays were an American garage rock band active in the mid-1960s. Known for their raw, energetic performances and distinctive surf-rock sound, they heavily contributed to the garage rock and surf music scenes of their time. Notable members included singer and guitarist Mike Peace, who later became a successful solo artist. Despite their short-lived existence, their influential works, particularly the single "Karate," have continued to resonate in the annals of rock music history.
