The Vacant Lot was an American garage rock band, active in the 1980s and early 1990s. Known for their raw, lo-fi sound and an aesthetic reminiscent of 1960s garage rock, the band played a crucial role in the revival of this genre during their active years. Notable members included singer and guitarist Michael Chandler and drummer Tim O'Sullivan. Although they released only one album, "Shake Well," their influence is seen in the subsequent rise of garage rock bands in the late '90s and 2000s.
