The Van Dykes

The Van Dykes were an American soul vocal trio from the 1960s, consisting of members Rondalis Tandy, Edward "Ski" Williams, and Wenzon Mosley. They are most notable for their Northern Soul classic, "No Man Is an Island", which exemplified their distinctive style of passionate, harmonically intricate soul music. Their work is primarily influenced by gospel and doo-wop, with a unique blend of raw energy and smooth, emotive vocals. Despite their limited discography, The Van Dykes left a significant imprint on the soul music genre and continue to influence contemporary artists.
