The Versatiles, also known as The Friends of Distinction, was an American R&B vocal group formed in 1968. Their music is characterized by a fusion of pop, soul, and jazz elements, which contributed to the R&B movement of the late 60s and early 70s. Notable band members included Harry Elston and Floyd Butler, both of whom were previously part of the Hi-Fi's. The Versatiles are best known for their hit songs "Grazing in the Grass" and "Love or Let Me Be Lonely", which have become staples in the classic R&B genre.
