Third (3rd) Bass

Third (3rd) Bass

Third Bass was an influential American hip-hop group that emerged in the late 1980s. The group, consisting of MC Serch (Michael Berrin), Prime Minister Pete Nice (Peter Nash), and DJ Richie Rich (Richard Lawson), was notable for being one of the first successful white hip-hop acts. Their music was characterized by a mix of politically charged lyrics and humor, often aimed at dismissing the idea that their race restricted their ability to contribute to the genre. Their debut album, "The Cactus Album" (1989), is considered a classic within the hip-hop community for its innovative and insightful commentary.
