Velocity Girl

Velocity Girl was an influential indie pop band that emerged from the Washington D.C. music scene in the late 1980s. Characterized by their distinctively jangly guitar sound, sweet melodies, and layered female-male vocals, their music played a significant role in defining the indie-pop genre. Notable members included Sarah Shannon (lead vocals) and Archie Moore (guitar/backing vocals). Their most influential work, "Simpatico!," released in 1994, is considered a staple in the indie pop canon.
