Velvet Revolver was an American hard rock supergroup formed in 2002 and active until 2008. The band was comprised of notable members from Guns N' Roses (Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum) and Stone Temple Pilots (Scott Weiland). With a distinctive blend of hard rock, alternative metal, and post-grunge, they achieved significant commercial success, notably with their debut album "Contraband" which topped the Billboard 200. Despite their brief existence, Velvet Revolver's fusion of styles helped shape the early 2000s rock scene.
