Willie Tee

Willie Tee, born Wilson Turbinton, was an American keyboardist, songwriter, singer, and producer known for his contributions to New Orleans soul, funk, and jazz music. He was a key figure in the 1960s and 70s music scene, co-founding the seminal funk band, The Wild Magnolias, and creating influential works such as "Walking Up a One Way Street". Tee's music, characterized by his emotive singing and skillful keyboard playing, often incorporated social and political themes, thus helping to shape the sound and substance of New Orleans' music culture.
