Willie & The Handjives were an American rock and roll band, active during the late 1950s and early 1960s, notably known for their unique blend of R&B and doo-wop. The band was fronted by Willie Egan, a charismatic singer and songwriter, and their most significant hit was "Handy Man," which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1958. Their rhythmic, danceable style and distinctive hand movements in performances were influential, inspiring a dance craze called "The Handjive."
