Young-Holt Unlimited, originally known as the Young Holt Trio, was an American soul and jazz instrumental musical ensemble from Chicago, Illinois. The group was known for their unique blend of soul, jazz, and R&B, and consisted of bassist Eldee Young and drummer Isaac "Red" Holt, both formerly of the Ramsey Lewis Trio. Their most notable work is the 1968 instrumental hit "Soulful Strut," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Young-Holt Unlimited's distinctive sound significantly contributed to the soul-jazz genre during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
