This was the group's last hit single before breaking up (not counting the brief reunion they had in 1976) so David Gates could pursue a solo career. Unfortunately, Gates never again managed to write and record a song as beautiful as "Aubrey." Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Elektra Records factory sleeve. It's only the second copy I've ever sold that has pristine Mint audio! Gorgeous. The 45 has Mint labels as well. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
